Rachel has been with pgÓéÀÖ Ohio for over 8 years. She is currently the Master Trainer at POH with a full knowledge of the Operations department. Find out about her career journey and what she likes best about this working environment!
What made you decide to join pgÓéÀÖ? My mother! I had worked in the banking industry for over six years and was ready for a change. She had been with POH for a little over a year at the time and convinced me to join the team.
How has your career progressed since you joined pgÓéÀÖ? When I joined the pgÓéÀÖ team, I started in Sanitation. In any free time I had during my first six months, I tried to assist the Operations team; asking questions and developing an understanding of the process. At six months, I moved into an Operations role. Over the next four and a half years, I saw and learned so much. I had great mentors who helped build my knowledge and skills in the many areas of Operations. A few months short of my five-year mark, I advanced to an Operations Lead and just over two years later…I became the Master Trainer at POH. The Master Trainer role was new to our site and it’s been a full journey in developing it to be the most beneficial to the POH site.
What keeps you at pgÓéÀÖ? Honestly, I love what we do! The details of the process, the product we provide. I enjoy that every day is different; some with more learning opportunities and some not so fun with troubleshooting issue after issue. But as a team we carry out this process to make a safe, quality product that consumers trust across the world.
What is your favourite part of your role? The ability to have an Impact and interact across multiple shifts/teams and departments.
What is your career highlight so far? Simply, the advancement opportunities. I have been able to move through different positions since I have been with POH and it has helped me both professionally and personally.
What do you like about life at pgÓéÀÖ? The flexibility my role allows is great! I can adjust my schedule as necessary to collaborate and interact with all teams, as well as balancing my life at home. Also, the team. POH is a small facility with just over 100 team members you get to know everyone, and the team is truly like family (and some of them really are).
Tea or Coffee Drinker 😊 ? Both! Tea is my go-to over soda any time; unsweetened if it’s freshly brewed. Coffee, as all my colleagues would agree, is a requirement to start the day.
We are always looking for passionate, dedicated people to join our teams at pgÓéÀÖ. Take your next career step today and check out our !
